For parents

Sit together. Say it out loud.

Let's Go Mandarin is a kids' show with Ms. Manda and GoGo — songs, playroom lessons, and bedtime lullabies. Not homework. Not HSK. A few minutes, then use the phrase in the house.

  1. You don't need Mandarin

You are the lap, not the teacher. Ms. Manda says the word slowly. GoGo waits. The screen shows the characters, the pinyin, and the English — so you can hear it, see it, and try it together even if you've never spoken Chinese. Copy the sound. Point at the real thing. If your tone isn't perfect, that's fine. They need you next to them more than they need a native speaker.

  2. The book is quiet

The printed book is for circling and tracing. This site is the sound and the movement: songs, the playroom, and bedtime.

  3. One word

Each Playroom card is one useful line. If they only catch 走zǒu吧ba today, that is a full win.

  4. The pause is the lesson

When it says Your turn, wait. Let them say it into the room. Don't fill the silence in English.

  5. Move with it

Wave, march, sip, point to mama. The body is how the word sticks.

  6. Use it the same day

Door, cup, sink, real people, lights out. The song only works if the word leaves the screen.

  7. Name vs word

GoGo is the puppy's English name. 狗gǒu狗gou is the Mandarin word. Dip the tones on 狗gǒu.

  8. Night is quiet

Lullabies end on 晚wǎn安ān. Soft voices, lights low. Save 走zǒu吧ba for the door in the morning.

Use it today

Same words as the cards. Point at the real thing, then say it.
